The boot fits for one lucky Cinderella!
Katie was one of 280 people who visited the Classic Dressage stand at Stoneleigh Park between 18-21 September to see if the they could fit into the signed patent Sir boots as worn by the double Olympic, World and European champion. Participants who wished to enter the #KonigsforCinders competition were asked to make a small donation to the Teenage Cancer Trust, Charlotte's chosen charity, before sitting on the throne to try them on.
Those lucky enough to fit into the boots (a total of 36) were then entered into a prize draw and Katie was announced as the winner on Sunday 21 September.
Katie spoke of her delight at winning: 'I'm so happy to have won, especially as the boots were signed and worn by one of my idols Charlotte Dujardin. The competition was great fun to enter, I felt like a princess sitting on the Konigs throne and when the boots fit, I was over the moon but I never thought I'd win them in a million years!'
Julia Hornig from Classic Dressage commented: 'It was fantastic to see so many people excited by the competition over the four days, it created quite a stir! In total, we raised more than £200 for the Teenage Cancer Trust and Classic Dressage would like to donate an extra £50 on behalf of Charlotte, bringing the total to £278.'
