Phoebe’s on Song thanks to Equipe
Riding in leading Italian saddle brand Equipe has paid dividends for current European Pony team and individual freestyle silver medallist Phoebe Peters.
The 15-year-old from Moreton in Marsh, Gloucestershire, and the 12-year-old bay gelding, SL Lucci, returned from the recent Pony European Championships in Ireland with the two silver medals having ridden in Equipe’s Emporio saddle.
“My trainer Peter Storr has been riding in Equipe for a while now and when I tried the saddles, I felt the difference instantly,” said Phoebe. “They give such a comfortable ride and allow the horse to feel freer and loser which is a huge advantage. I’m very lucky in that Charlotte Dujardin has also kindly given me the ride on the five-year-old Edison H, or Eddie as we call him, and I’ve got Equipe’s brand new saddle the Olympia on order for him.
“I was thrilled to come back from Ireland with two silvers. The conditions were pretty challenging but I rode a great freestyle and it was brilliant to be part of such a great team. I’m now looking forward to the British Dressage LeMieux National Championships in September where I have two rides in the Dodson & Horrell Novice Open and after that to a winter of training Eddie and Lucci and qualifying for the Winter Championships.”
Simon Middleton, Managing Director of Zebra Products, the exclusive UK distributor of Equipe saddles in the UK, said: “Phoebe is a real star of the future and it’s great to see her achieving such brilliant results riding in Equipe. She may only be 15 but she’s already an extremely accomplished rider and we’re looking forward to supporting her as she continues to rise through the ranks.”
PK Brings Colour and Vibrance to Equestrian Clothing
A brand new range of equestrian clothing has been launched in the UK which has youthfulness and innovation at its heart.
PK Sportswear is a colourful and fun Dutch brand which has a sporty edge and offers a great fit for riders. Designed with huge attention to detail, PK unveils two collections a year which includes jackets, sweaters, T-shirts, breeches and socks.
Bright and bold, the collections combine high fashion with the demands of riding to offer comfortable but stylish clothing that allows riders to feel confident in the saddle.
Owner and director of PK International Sportswear, Marieke de Heul, said: "We wanted to create clothing that blurs the lines between the fashion and equestrian worlds and the result is a range which is colourful and bold yet practical.
"We use three primary colour groups and work closely with riders to test all the clothing to make sure it's comfortable. We also take a lot of inspiration from what's fashionable, for example we've created a pair of biker breeches to reflect this trend in jeans."
Simon Middleton, managing director of Zebra Products, the exclusive UK distributor for PK, said: "It's great to see such vibrant colours included in an equestrian range. Aimed at a younger audience, it's a chance for equestrians to showcase their personality and what better way to do it than through what they wear. PK is a great addition to the Zebra portfolio and we're excited about what's to come."
Founded in 2000, PK International is the official supplier to the Dutch Equestrian Federation.
