Eilbergs saddle up for retailer yard day
More than 50 retailers joined Zebra Products for a technical presentation and riding demonstration by Michael and Maria Eilberg at their yard in Redditch on Wednesday 30 September.
The day started with a demonstration by Amerigo saddle designer Peter Menet who expertly guided attendees through the bio mechanics of a horse and how to ensure saddles fit properly. He was ably assisted by nine-year-old Torino who helped Peter illustrate his points.
There followed a riding demo from Michael and Maria which was compered by their father and trainer Ferdi. Michael, aboard Woodlander Dornroschen, and Maria aboard Royal Concert, demonstrated how they break down different moves during their training. The session was followed by a Q&A, with guests able to put their questions to the pair.
Sprenger's sales manager Brigitte Luedemann then discussed the company's history and commitment to innovation and product development, as well as touching on their huge range of spurs and Bow Balance safety stirrups. She was joined by Zebra's bitting expert Lindsay Middleton who took attendees on a guided tour of Sprenger's extensive bit collection, including their newest development, the Novocontact.
Wrapping things up was Ermmano Fuga, Veredus sales director. Again using Cracker, he was able to illustrate the benefits of the Magnetiks rug, as well as their range of horse boots, including the dressage specific range, Piaffe. He also touched on the brand new Evento which is designed specifically for cross country.
