Nicholson takes Badminton title at 36th attempt

Veredus ambassador Andrew Nicholson was a hugely popular winner of the Mitsubishi Motors Badminton Horse Trials having first competed in the event in 1984 and suffering a broken neck after a fall in 2015.

Lying in third going into the showjumping, Andrew and Nereo jumped clear but incurred one time fault which was enough to clinch the title after others faltered.

In what was described by some as the biggest Badminton ever, cross country king Andrew was less than one penalty point behind leader Ingrid Klimke ahead of the showjumping phase. While Klimke had three down and Michael Jung, who was in second place, had one down, Andrew kept his cool to take home the title.

A huge well done from everyone at Zebra Products!
